Quantum Encoding Europe Limited is the Irish company of Quantum Encoding, a founder-led engineering studio. We design and ship cross-platform applications, bespoke commerce platforms, and the systems-level tooling that powers them, from native macOS and iOS to Tauri on the desktop and the web.
The vision

The whole industry is betting trillions on multi-billion-dollar datacentres, then renting that intelligence back to you by the token. We build in the opposite direction: AI that runs on hardware you already own. Modern Apple silicon is among the most efficient AI hardware available; a single laptop can run a 120-billion-parameter model on under 140 watts. When compute is that capable and that close, the intelligence is genuinely yours: private by default, with no meter running.
Quantum Encoding is committed to building software for what comes next: tools made for AI to use, and for people to collaborate with.
In practice: Metatron Security and Cosmic Duck OS. Metatron is the governance layer for agentic AI, OS-level policy, enforced through Apple’s Endpoint Security and Network Extension frameworks, that keeps autonomous agents inside defined boundaries. Cosmic Duck OS is the native client people use to run them, with on-device model routing and local tool execution on Apple silicon. The security system, and the runtime that puts it to work.
What we build
Cross-platform, down to the system layer.
We ship to every platform our users live on: native macOS and iOS in Swift, Android, Tauri on the desktop, and the web. Underneath the apps sits the part most studios outsource: the systems-level tooling, written in Rust, Go, and Zig, that does the heavy lifting our products depend on.
Some of that work needs access most teams never get. We hold restricted Apple entitlements (Endpoint Security and Network Extension), the permissions behind security software like Metatron. Apple grants them sparingly, and they let our user-space system extensions authorize file operations and filter network traffic system-wide.
What we ship
Native on the Mac. Everywhere else, too.
Cifra, Cosmic Duck OS and Metatron Security are built in Swift for Apple silicon. Cosmic Duck brings the workbench to Linux and Windows, and Quantum Crypto runs cross-platform.
